2016 has kicked off with the completion of our new purpose built inspection facility. The temperature controlled room has a floor space of 42metre² with a 4 metre ceiling height and is home to our brand new Mitutoyo Crysta Apex 122010 CNC co-ordinate measuring machine.
The facility which represents an overall investment of over £100,000 lays the foundation stone of the companies modernisation program which kicked off in the summer of 2015.
The Mitutoyo CMM has measuring travels of X2005mm x Y1205mm x Z1005mm and is outfitted with a TP200 automatic probe changing system along with the Renishaw PH10MQ module which will accept the SP25M scanning probe. The software driving the machine is MCOSMOS and has been purchased with the CAT1000P CAD programming module which allows programming the machine directly from CAD models.
Along with the CMM we have purchased a Mitutoyo LH600 computerised linear height gauge with motorised gauging and a resolution of 0.0001mm. The unit which moves on air bearings has a multi function computer system for measurement of surfaces, diameters etc. as well as various statistical functions and data input output options.
